Personal Profile

I have a long term interest in how trade liberalisation can affect the performance of previously protected firms. My other interests are in the economics of corruption and the economics of international technology transfer.

Before joining Massey University in 1994, I worked as a tutor at the Australian National University (ANU). Before that I worked for the then Industries Assistance Commission, now called the Productivity Commission. I was born and grew-up in Tasmania.
